Excalibur uses a High-Pressure Plastic Polymer Injection-Molding system (a system commonly used in the making of high-speed sport motorcycle tube frames) to make the front and back panels of the Travel-Mate™ to assure zero flaws within the polymer plastic. Aircraft quality aluminum is used to make all hinges, locks and rods on the case so you can be confident that Father Time won't effect performance or looks.
Along with the four locking latches (two on top, two on the sides) the Travel-Mate™ features a double-barrel lock system for top-of-the-line security. Double-braced edge molding adds to the life of the case with an outstanding ability to take the bumps and scrapes you're sure to encounter while traveling with your accordion.
And for the long walks through the airport terminals, the Excalibur Travel-Mate™ features an extendable 14 1/2" aluminum arm that locks tightly in 3 positions with the help of an easy-to-use handle button. This extendable arm ensures that no matter what your height or arm length is, hauling your accordion will be easy on your neck and back!
The Excalibur Travel-Mate™ also is the only one of it's kind that meets and exceeds the new 2002 FAA Airline Check-In and Dimension Guidelines. At under 4lbs dry weight, this hard-shell case is a miracle of modern engineering and of tomorrows manufacturing techniques! High-Pressure Plastic Polymer Injection-Molded Front & Back Aircraft quality aluminum hinges, locks, and rods.
